Fire doors are one of the most critical elements of any building’s passive fire protection system. In the event of a fire, they buy valuable time by containing flames and smoke within a single compartment, protecting escape routes and giving occupants the chance to evacuate safely. Yet fire doors are only effective if they are correctly installed, properly maintained and regularly inspected.
At Cleanair UK, we provide professional fire door installation and inspection services across Wirral, helping building owners, landlords and facilities managers meet their legal obligations and keep the people in their buildings safe.
A fire door is not simply a heavy door. It is an engineered assembly of components, including the door leaf, frame, intumescent strips, smoke seals, self-closing devices and certified ironmongery, all of which must work together to achieve the required level of fire resistance. If any one of these components is damaged, missing or incorrectly fitted, the entire door can fail when it matters most.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person for a building must ensure that fire doors are installed to the correct standard and maintained in good working order. Failure to do so can result in enforcement action, significant fines and, in serious cases, criminal prosecution.
Installation: We install third-party certified fire doorsets in commercial premises, residential blocks, healthcare settings, schools and public buildings across Wirral. Every installation is carried out by our directly employed, industry-trained engineers in full accordance with BS 8214 and the manufacturer’s specifications.
Inspection and Assessment: Our qualified fire door inspectors carry out detailed condition surveys to assess the integrity of your existing fire doors. We check the door leaf, frame, glazing, gaps, seals, hinges, closers and signage against current standards. You receive a clear report outlining any deficiencies, along with practical recommendations to bring your doors back into compliance.
Remedial Works: Where issues are identified during an inspection, we can carry out the necessary remedial work, from replacing damaged seals and adjusting closers to fitting new certified doorsets where existing doors are beyond repair.
We are a multi-disciplinary hygiene and fire safety services contractor with a strong track record of working with clients ranging from independent businesses to the NHS, the Ministry of Defence and Canary Wharf Group. Looking for companies for the cleaning and servicing of my kitchen canopy and ducts I found, via Google, overpriced local traders. I am so glad I looked on the BESA website and came across Clean Air Ltd. The lads you sent round were polite and did a good job. I was so confident in your pricing and work I recommended Clean Air to my church for their kitchen work. God Bless you all.
We got VIP treatment as a local business – all queries were answered professionally and the work itself was fast and clean – no mess left on site. A refreshing attitude! Thanks to the team!
Have used Cleanair before to do our kitchen deep clean and were very impressed with their work so asked them to replace our duct for the kitchen extraction. Arrived on time, done the work quickly and efficiently which allowed our kitchen team to carry on with their prep work. I highly recommend them.
A huge thank you to the staff at CleanAir UK who have done the most fantastic job cleaning our kitchen this year. They were prompt, polite, helpful, friendly and amazingly efficient. The kitchen is sparkling and we are thrilled with the results. We will definitely be asking them back next year…
