Fire doors are one of the most critical components of any building’s passive fire protection strategy. In the event of a fire, they buy time. Time for occupants to evacuate, time for emergency services to respond, and time to prevent flames and smoke from spreading through a building unchecked.
At Cleanair UK, we provide professional fire door installation and inspection services across Gloucestershire, helping building owners, landlords and facilities managers meet their legal obligations and protect the people within their premises.
A correctly installed and properly maintained fire door can resist the passage of fire and smoke for a minimum of 30 minutes, and in many cases up to 60 minutes. But a fire door is only effective if it has been fitted to the correct standard and is regularly inspected to confirm it remains in proper working order.
Over time, fire doors can become compromised. Damaged seals, warped frames, incorrect gap tolerances, missing self-closing devices or unauthorised modifications can all reduce a fire door’s ability to perform when it is needed most. These are not issues you want to discover during a fire.
We offer a complete fire door service, from initial survey to installation, inspection and ongoing maintenance.
Fire Door Installation: All of our fire door installations are carried out by directly employed, industry-trained engineers. We install certified fire doorsets to the required standard, ensuring full compliance with Approved Document B of the Building Regulations and BS 8214:2016.
Fire Door Inspection: Our inspection service identifies defects that could prevent a fire door from functioning correctly. We assess the door leaf, frame, intumescent seals, smoke seals, hinges, self-closing devices, signage and gap tolerances. Following each inspection, we provide a detailed report outlining any remedial actions required.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person for a building is required to carry out a fire risk assessment and ensure that all fire safety measures, including fire doors, are properly installed and maintained. Failure to comply can result in enforcement action, significant fines and even imprisonment.
Regular fire door inspections are not optional. They are a fundamental part of your fire safety management plan.
If you are responsible for a commercial building, residential block or public premises in Gloucestershire and need fire door installation or inspection carried out to the highest standard, we are here to help.

Have used Cleanair before to do our kitchen deep clean and were very impressed with their work so asked them to replace our duct for the kitchen extraction. Arrived on time, done the work quickly and efficiently which allowed our kitchen team to carry on with their prep work. I highly recommend them.
Looking for companies for the cleaning and servicing of my kitchen canopy and ducts I found, via Google, overpriced local traders. I am so glad I looked on the BESA website and came across Clean Air Ltd. The lads you sent round were polite and did a good job. I was so confident in your pricing and work I recommended Clean Air to my church for their kitchen work. God Bless you all.
We got VIP treatment as a local business – all queries were answered professionally and the work itself was fast and clean – no mess left on site. A refreshing attitude! Thanks to the team!
A huge thank you to the staff at CleanAir UK who have done the most fantastic job cleaning our kitchen this year. They were prompt, polite, helpful, friendly and amazingly efficient. The kitchen is sparkling and we are thrilled with the results. We will definitely be asking them back next year…
