Our indoor air quality inspection determines the types of contaminants present within premises. We also look into whether their effect on the quality of indoor air can be considered acceptable. The findings are then compared to the current occupational and workplace exposure limits and what is allowed by regulation. A list of recommendations will be provided as necessary as well.
The following are measured in our suite of indoor air quality testing.
Testing identifies whether the amount of contaminants exceed concentrations that are considered to be harmful to the health of occupants. The contaminants being assessed include different gases, microorganisms, vapours, smoke, dust and other particulate matter.
These contaminants may already be present in the make-up air, or they may be introduced through factors like building materials, furnishings, surface coatings, indoor activities, air treatment or air handling components.
When testing, the following are also considered – potential to induce infections or allergies, irritants, toxicity, objectionable odours and thermal conditions.
The top priority of indoor air quality testing is to ensure that the air available to occupants is comfortable, hygienic, and safe. Our testing also helps property owners adhere to regulations outlined by the following.
Aside from those mentioned above, we can include additional parameters in our testing should they be needed. We can also test for Ozone (unstable Oxygen, O3), Nitrogen Oxide (NOx), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) and Total Dust Particulates.
