Symptoms of Legionnaires’ disease usually develop 2-14 days after exposure to the bacteria. The symptoms might be mild or severe and include:

• Headaches
• Fatigue
• Cough
• Fever
• Chills

If you develop any of these symptoms after exposure to water droplets, it is important to see a doctor immediately. Legionnaires’ disease can be treated with antibiotics, but it can be fatal if it is not treated promptly.
